Steve Brookes was born in Derbyshire but raised near Plymouth from the age of two. He began fishing on mid-channel wrecks during the mid-1980s, where his passion for angling truly took shape. Over the years, he has travelled extensively across the UK in search of exceptional specimens, landing several fish weighing over 100lb from the UK shore.

Beyond sea fishing, he is also deeply involved in freshwater predator fishing, with a particular focus on the mighty River Trent in the Midlands. His dedication to the sport spans all aspects of angling, from species hunting to specimen fishing for conger and bull huss.

In addition to his hands-on experience, he manages several successful social media platforms and has been featured multiple times in national angling magazines and media outlets, sharing insights, stories, and techniques with the wider fishing community.

Martyn Hoole is a seasoned angler and Technical Advisor for Power Cast Tackle, bringing over three decades of expertise to the UK fishing industry. A true all-round angler, Martyn enjoys fishing in ponds, reservoirs, rivers, and the sea, demonstrating his versatility and deep passion for the sport.

He developed a deep respect for both the craft and the community that surrounds it. His ability to understand anglers.
